All For K9 Pepper

K9ine Security was named by CEO, David Hutnyk after he saw a need in the industry for the use of K9 partners. Not only for the protection of guards in the field, but to assist in multiple avenues of emergency services and search and rescue.

K9 Pepper was David’s first K9 partner. She was by his side for 8 years and had an amazing career, even with a rough start to her life. Pepper was found on a county road north of London, Ontario. She was homed with a loving family, who unfortunately did not have the experience in German Shepherds to give her the training and exercise required in such a high drive dog.

David and his wife Alex were given an opportunity to take Pepper in.

By the time Pepper was a year old she showed many attributes that would make her an incredible working K9. David began her training in tracking and area search, Pepper took to it immediately.

Over the next 6 years, Pepper had many successful building and area searches, tracking and locating suspects, points of entry that would have gone overlooked, and providing David with protection while on duty.

David and Pepper were inseparable and their bond was that of family.

In 2020, Pepper, at the young age of 8, succumbed to a cancerous growth that ruptured. Unfortunately even with constant check ups and vet care, it slipped through unnoticed.

Pepper’s passing was devastating to David and the entire K9ine Security family.

We continue today, always remembering where K9ine Security started and Pepper’s incredible impact on David, the K9ine Security team and our community who met her over the years.

Having over 20 years of experience in the security industry, we know what works and what doesn’t. We strive to continually improve and positively influence the industry. We do this through exceptional training and notable safety practices for both our clients as well our guards.
