Incident standby security. What is it?

In the hours and days following a serious incident like a fire, it is key to ensuring the scene is contained and does not become a further risk to public safety. This is why K9ine Security offers incident standby services to emergency services and our clients. Let’s break the service down.

Using a structure fire as an example, whether suspicious or not, the scene should be monitored carefully for at least 24-hours following the fire. Sometimes areas are hard to reach for fire crews and unnoticeable to technology and thermal imaging, these areas are called “hotspots”. Hotspots, if given a source of oxygen can re-ignite causing further damage and pose a hazard to public safety if not spotted quickly. Our team of security experts receive training from our CEO, a certified firefighter and fire inspector on how to address these issues and what to look for while completing these standbys. If further extensions occur, our team monitors and immediately dispatches emergency services to the scene to quickly knock-down the risk to safety.

Users of this service will never see and invoice, as we directly bill your insurance company. Our service saves you and your insurance money as well as keeps emergency services available to respond to calls for service instead of being tied-up.
